Optica: Dynamic gratings enable high-performance tunable quantum-dot lasers

Single-mode, widely tunable semiconductor lasers are essential for coherent communications, precision sensing, and reconfigurable photonic systems. Yet many existing approaches rely on regrowth, etched gratings, or other fabrication-intensive strategies that increase complexity and constrain scalability.
